The Mira Mesa Marauders will take on the Patrick Henry Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mira Mesa's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Scripps Ranch on Thursday. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Marauders gained 115 more yards on the day, but it was the Falcons that made the best use of them.

Even if they lost, Mira Mesa's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Grace Dunbar and Mahea'Ani Manibusan, who racked up all six sacks between them. Dunbar is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last contest, Patrick Henry made sure to put some points up on the board against Lincoln on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 32-6 margin over the Hornets. Considering the Patriots have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Patrick Henry found their leader in sophomore Whitley Swain, who threw for 260 yards on 21 of 30 attempts, and also rushed for 70 yards on only five carries.

Mira Mesa has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average over those games. As for Patrick Henry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
