Basketball Game Preview: Rock Port Blue Jays vs. King City Wildkats

The Rock Port Blue Jays will face off against the King City Wildkats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rock Port took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-23 victory over DeKalb. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday King City sidestepped North Harrison for a 38-35 win.

Rock Port's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points per game. As for King City, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Rock Port skirted past King City 31-28 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Rock Port repeat their success, or does King City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
