Basketball Recap: Strawn Takes a Loss

Strawn's tournament run continued when they took on LaPoynor on Friday. The Strawn Greyhounds fell 66-59 to the LaPoynor Flyers. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Strawn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for LaPoynor, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Strawn won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Savoy at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for LaPoynor, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Southwest Christian School at 8:00 a.m. LaPoynor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Southwest Christian School likes a good challenge.
