Preview: St. Martin de Porres Lions vs. Cornerstone Christian Patriots

Last Saturday, things could have been worse for St. Martin de Porres, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-43 loss to the Hornets.
St. Martin de Porres' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lyric Johnson, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and six assists, and Alexis Fluker who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below five steals for six straight games.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian came up short against the Beavers on Monday and fell 44-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cornerstone Christian has scored all season.
St. Martin de Porres' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
St. Martin de Porres was taken down by the Patriots 57-23 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can St. Martin de Porres avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
