Trimble County's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Sacred Heart Valkyries 8-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ava Newton and Ainslie Stark did most of the damage at the plate: Newton went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Stark got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tynlee Walls, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Trimble County's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Sacred Heart, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Trimble County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Valkyries: the pair will be back at it again later today.
