Broadneck triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Mackenzie Wharton

Recap: Broadneck Bruins vs. Old Mill Patriots
Even though the Broadneck Bruins have not done well against the Old Mill Patriots recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Broadneck skirted past Old Mill 42-39. This was payback for Broadneck, who suffered a 43-33 loss the last time these two teams met.
Broadneck can attribute much of their success to Mackenzie Wharton, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wharton has scored at least 25% of Broadneck's points. London Best was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 4 steals.
The victory got Broadneck back to even at 1-1. As for Old Mill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Broadneck will head out on the road to face off against Severna Park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Old Mill will be home for the holidays to greet Meade at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
