Volleyball Recap: Tonganoxie Comes Up Short

Tonganoxie lost against Eudora on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chieftains lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chieftains have suffered against the Cardinals since October 19, 2021.

Tonganoxie took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eudora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izzy Brunkow, who had 16 assists and three digs. Brunkow has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Tonganoxie's loss dropped their record down to 13-11-2. As for Eudora, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Tonganoxie has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop Miege on the 4th. As for Eudora, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sedgwick on the 4th.
