Volleyball Recap: Northeast Eagles vs. Springfield Yellow Jackets

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springfield Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in September.

The final score came out to 25-8, 19-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Aaliyah Miller paced Northeast's offense, picking up nine kills. Miller got some help from Ah'Kiirah Jones and her 12 assists. Finally, Sanaii Pearson kept Northeast's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Springfield, their victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.

Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Clarksville on the 7th.
