Basketball Recap: Lucas Westendorf's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dieterich over Tuscola

After flying high against Robinson last Thursday, Dieterich came back down to earth. The Dieterich Movin Maroons took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuscola Warriors.

Dieterich lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lucas Westendorf, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 19 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Landen Keck was another key player, going 6-for-12 on his way to 19 points.

Dieterich's loss dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Tuscola, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Dieterich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-53 victory against Woodlawn on the 18th. As for Tuscola, they have also already played their next game, a 72-34 win against Neoga on the 18th.
