Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars vs. Brentwood War Eagles
Thomas Jefferson Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They lost 61-35 to the Brentwood War Eagles. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Leading Brentwood to victory were Cadence English and Bailey Barron. English dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards, while Barron went 6 of 9 on her way to 13 points along with eight boards and four blocks. English's afternoon made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Rizner, who posted eight points.
Thomas Jefferson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Brentwood, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
