Football Recap: Hulbert Drops Season-High Score on Chouteau-Mazie

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hulbert). They skirted past the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats 36-34. For the Riders, this counts as revenge for the 18-0 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Hulbert's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cody Botts, who rushed for 175 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Botts has posted since back in September. Ethan Ellis helped out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards and a rushing touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hulbert was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory got Hulbert back to even at 5-5. As for Chouteau-Mazie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Hulbert nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
