Basketball Recap: Potomac Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Potomac, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They snuck past the Central Falcons with a 64-59 victory on Thursday. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 84-77 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Korie Cobham Jr was a one-man wrecking crew for Potomac as he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Darveon Wiley, who posted 13 points.

Potomac now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Potomac didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-41 defeat against Potomac Senior on the 14th. As for Central, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Central Falcons duke it out with the Douglass Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
