Football Game Preview: Ridgeline Riverhawks vs. Provo Bulldogs

Two dominant signal callers in Nate Dahle and Gehrig Orchard are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ridgeline Riverhawks will take on the Provo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgeline is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Ridgeline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-3 win over Park City. Fans of the Riverhawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Noah Fiefia continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 73 yards and one score, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. Ridgeline also got help from Graham Livingston, who showed off his sure hands for 106 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Ridgeline's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Landon Perkins and Krew Jones, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. Cooper Clark got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Provo strolled past Hurricane with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-13. The Bulldogs' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Ridgeline's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Provo, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Ridgeline has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 524.2 total yards per game. However, it's not like Provo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 387.3 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.

Ridgeline strolled past Provo in their previous matchup back in August of 2016 by a score of 27-13. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bulldogs' Ty Jones, who picked up 138 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
