Baseball Recap: Las Plumas Comes Up Short

Las Plumas's tournament run continued when they took on McKinleyville on Saturday. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds fell just short of the McKinleyville Panthers by a score of 3-2.

Las Plumas saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Hutcheson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Colton Rosauer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Las Plumas' loss dropped their record down to 0-3-2. As for McKinleyville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Las Plumas Thunderbirds challenge West Valley Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinleyville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Red Bluff at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
