Volleyball Recap: Garfield Heights' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Garfield Heights entered their tilt with Warrensville Heights on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-20.

Shamira Thigpen paced Garfield Heights' offense, picking up 11 kills. Thigpen got some help from Aniah Taylor and her 22 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The victory got Garfield Heights back to even at 9-9. As for Warrensville Heights, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Garfield Heights will head out to square off against Bedford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warrensville Heights, they will take on Medina Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
