Basketball Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Comes Up Short on the Road Against A.L. Brown + How To Watch

Northwest Cabarrus had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the A.L. Brown Wonders by a score of 82-80 on Thursday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wonders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Northwest Cabarrus' loss came despite strong showings from Aiden Rochevot and Justin Gonder. Rochevot shot 58% from the field on his way to 31 points and seven boards, while Gonder went 10-for-19 en route to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Winston Soles, who posted 12 points.

A.L. Brown has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Northwest Cabarrus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 87-54 loss against Hickory Ridge on the 22nd. As for A.L. Brown, they have also already played their next matchup, a 51-21 defeat against Concord on the 25th.
