Football Game Preview: Edison Red Raiders vs. Carol City Chiefs

Edison is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Carol City is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Edison Red Raiders will welcome the Carol City Chiefs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Edison 5.4, Carol City 8) so any points scored will be well earned.

Carol City's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Edison hadn't allowed a single point the last four times they've hit the field. Edison breezed past McArthur to the tune of 35-0 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won five contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Rakyia Louis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 333 yards and five touchdowns while completing 79.3% of her passes. Louis is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Edison didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Briana Bogan and London Harris.

Meanwhile, Carol City owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hallandale by a score of 8-0.

Carol City's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
