Basketball Recap: Astoria/VIT Comes Up Short

Astoria/VIT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 78-37 loss at the hands of the Peoria Heights Patriots. The Rebels lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 59-46 score last time.

Astoria/VIT's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Peoria Heights, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Astoria/VIT won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lewistown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peoria Heights, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Princeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
