Basketball Recap: Veritas School Takes a Loss

Veritas School lost against Christchurch School back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Veritas School Lions took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christchurch School Seahorses. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Veritas School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore London Smith posted 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chandler Davidson, who earned 14 points and five assists.

Veritas School dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for Christchurch School, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.

As of now, neither Veritas School nor Christchurch School have any future games scheduled.
