Softball Recap: Sparta Takes a Loss

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-1 to the Portage Warriors.

Sparta's record now sits at 0-3. As for Portage, their record is now 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparta will square off against Wisconsin Dells at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Portage, they will face off against Westfield Area at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
