Volleyball Game Preview: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Century Centurions

The Cobden Appleknockers will take on the Century Centurions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cobden is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Zeigler-Royalton just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Tornadoes.

While Cobden was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Century beat Egyptian 2-0 on Tuesday. The Centurions haven't had any issues with the Pharaohs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Century was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15.

Century's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Cobden, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
