Basketball Recap: Bluffton Falls to Norwell in First Game of Season

Bluffton kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 71-34 defeat at the hands of the Norwell Knights. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.

Bluffton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Konley Ault, who posted 16 points and eight boards. The game was her sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Eisenhut, who put up four points and ten rebounds.

Norwell's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Bluffton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-13 win against Fort Wayne Canterbury on the 8th. As for Norwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-55 loss against Warsaw on the 8th.
