Softball Preview: La Quinta Aztecs vs. Anaheim Colonists

Kailey Huynh and Ella Magga did most of the damage at the plate: Huynh scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Magga scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Huynh a new career-high. Raellie Faatuga was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
La Quinta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Magnolia only posted a batting average of .062.
Meanwhile, everything went Anaheim's way against Godinez Fundamental on Wednesday as Anaheim made off with a 17-7 victory.
Taylor Falt made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Falt was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Brooke Chavez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kamila Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
