Basketball Recap: Harlan's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The Harlan Hawks came up short against the Memorial Warriors on Saturday, falling 82-59. The loss put an end to the Hawks' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Harlan lost, don't look at London Jackson. Despite the final result, he shot 60% from the field on his way to 16 points along with seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cory Steemer, who posted six points.

Harlan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Memorial, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Harlan has already played their next game, a 79-60 victory against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial on the 25th. As for Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-54 win against South Oak Cliff on the 24th.
