Basketball Game Preview: Lafayette Hornets vs. Madison County Cowboys + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Lafayette will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the Madison County Cowboys will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lafayette, who comes in off a win.

Lafayette is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Suwannee: they outscored them in every quarter. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 44-23 margin over the Bulldogs last Friday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Lafayette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Copeland, who posted 14 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Havyn Richardson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Madison County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 42-36 to Godby last Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lafayette will have to keep a close watch on Tahj Dobson and Amyah Ingram, a pair of players who had a big impact on Madison County's prior game. Dobson dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards, while Ingram scored eight points and eight rebounds.
