Soccer Recap: Fairland Triumphs

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Fairland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Waverly Tigers, sneaking past 4-3. That's two games straight that Fairland have won by just one goal.

They hit Waverly with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Robinson Nolasco, Kyle Salyer, Liam Shook, and Aydin Davis.

The victory made it two in a row for Fairland and bumps their season record up to 6-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two contests. As for Waverly, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Fairland will challenge Wheelersburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheelersburg's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Fairland's offense will have their work cut out for them. Waverly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
