Football Game Preview: La Jolla Vikings vs. Scripps Ranch Falcons + How To Watch

The La Jolla Vikings will face off against the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Jolla has given up an average of 31.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, La Jolla was able to grind out a solid victory over Madison, taking the game 48-35. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won three in a row.

La Jolla found their leader in sophomore Aiden Farrell, who rushed for 233 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. The Vikings are 4-1 when Farrell posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. La Jolla also got help from Nicolas Bardaro, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.

La Jolla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Lincoln 49-13. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

La Jolla's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

La Jolla came up short against Scripps Ranch in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 19-15. Thankfully for the Vikings, Ryan Stadtherr (who rushed for 213 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.2 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
