Basketball Recap: Richland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Denton last Friday, Richland came back down to earth. The Richland Royals were dealt a 72-22 defeat at the hands of the Ryan Raiders on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost six in a row.

Richland now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Ryan, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Richland will look to defend their home court on Friday against Birdville at 5:45 p.m. As for Ryan, they will face off against Grapevine at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Ryan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Grapevine likes a good challenge.
