There's no place like home for Lyford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Hebbronville Longhorns 17-8 on Wednesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Reyna was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Silva, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lyford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hebbronville only posted an OBP of .361.

Lyford's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Hebbronville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7-1.

Looking ahead, Lyford will face off against Edinburg North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lyford is facing Edinburg North at the right time seeing as Edinburg North is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Hebbronville, they will be playing at home against Robstown at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The last seven games Robstown has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
