Volleyball Recap: Drummond Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Drummond lost against Mercer back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lumberjacks fell 3-1 to the Tigers.

While Drummond ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18.

Mercer got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryley Saarnio out in front who had 12 kills, five blocks, and five aces. Those five blocks gave Saarnio a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Powers, who had eight kills, five blocks, and five aces.

Drummond's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mercer, with the victory, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-13.

Drummond has already played their next match (against Northwestern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mercer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Northwood on the 27th.
