Volleyball Recap: Woodland Park Panthers vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

After flying high against Ellicott last Thursday, Woodland Park came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles on Friday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-15.

Mountain Vista can attribute much of their success to Sofia Posada, who had seven digs and six aces. That's the most aces Posada has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Schmidt, who had 16 assists and three digs.

Woodland Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Mountain Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Woodland Park has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Platte Valley on the 31st. As for Mountain Vista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Air Academy on the 31st.
