Game recap

Cole Sterns caught four touchdowns as Sahuaro (Tucson, Ariz.) beat Yuma (Ariz.) 47-0 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Alexander Howe in the first quarter, the Cougars led 41-0 at the half.

Sahuaro expanded its lead to 47 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Laramie Brown to Sterns.

Brown and Sterns teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Sterns has now caught four touchdowns this season, while Brown has thrown 10.

Sterns was the top performer for the Tucson school. The junior ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 45-0 win for the Cougars.

The win was a nice bounce back for Sahuaro, which lost to Buena last week, 48-31. The loss was the third in a row for the Criminals.

In a II Section II game next week Sahuaro (3-1) takes on Catalina Foothills, and Yuma (1-3) will go up against Walden Grove in a non-conference game.
