Recap: Christian Fellowship vs. Liberty Christian Academy Eagles
Christian Fellowship entered their tilt with the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Christian Fellowship took down Liberty Christian Academy 59-45 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Christian Fellowship also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Abe Seboldt, who scored 21 points along with six assists and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Davis, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy had strong showings from Willy Mueller, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds, and Jack Duvel, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Christian Fellowship's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will square off against Jamestown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Liberty Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Wellsville-Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Wellsville-Middletown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Liberty Christian Academy is ranked 145th).
