Basketball Recap: Renton Comes Up Short

Renton easily dispatched Hazen last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Renton Red Hawks fell just short of the Liberty Patriots by a score of 74-71 on Tuesday. The Red Hawks have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Renton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-10. As for Liberty, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Renton will host Woodinville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Renton is facing Woodinville at the right time seeing as Woodinville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Foster at 7:15 p.m. Foster is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.8 points per game this season.
