Recap: Hamilton Braves vs. Williams Yellowjackets
The Hamilton Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Williams 55-49. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hamilton in their matchups with Williams: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Kayden Strong, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. Strong is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Stickney, who scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals.
Among those leading the charge was Diego Ambriz, who scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Kyden Bowen was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Hamilton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Williams, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on Los Molinos at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Los Molinos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Williams, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against CORE Butte at 7:00 p.m.
