Soccer Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short

Woodside fell victim to Jamestown and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Woodside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Jamestown are ranked seventh).

Woodside's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Jamestown, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Woodside and Jamestown will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Wolverines see the pitch they'll take on Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Jamestown, their break will end when they face Tabb at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
