Football Game Preview: Pierce City Eagles vs. Skyline Tigers

The Pierce City Eagles will head out to challenge the Skyline Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pierce City has given up an average of 33.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pierce City's last matchup with Ash Grove could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Eagles lost 50-27 to the Pirates. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Skyline was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 28-24 to Lathrop.

Pierce City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Pierce City against Skyline in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
