Basketball Recap: Renton Red Hawks vs. Foster Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Renton can now relate to. They took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foster Bulldogs. The Red Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
It was another big night for Jeremiah White, who went 11-for-17 on his way to 32 points in addition to seven boards and five assists for Foster. White continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kebba Sanneh, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.
Renton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Foster, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Looking ahead, Renton will take on Chief Sealth at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Foster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
