Softball Recap: Chariton Comes Up Short

Chariton fell victim to Albia and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Blue Demons. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chariton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Albia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chariton will take on Moravia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Albia, they will face off against Oskaloosa at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Blue Demons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
