Gaven Smith gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April on Monday. He was dialed in as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Cranford back in April, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Smith also tossed no walks, which is notable because Summit is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-10-1 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Smith and Summit will face off against New Providence at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers are limping into the matchup having lost six straight on the road.
