Basketball Recap: Central Heights Takes a Loss

Central Heights and St. Mary's-Colgan squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Central Heights had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 58-7 loss at the hands of the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-4.

Macy Cubit was Central Heights' leading scorer, having posted four points. Cubit also led the team in rebounds with three. Addison Ouellette took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Central Heights' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points on average over those games. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Central Heights nor St. Mary's-Colgan have any future games scheduled.
