Basketball Recap: Noblesville Extends Winning Streak to Six

Noblesville waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Franklin Central Flashes by a score of 51-44. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Flashes are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noblesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Curry II, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Curry II is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Aiden Brewer was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and five assists.

Noblesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Franklin Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Noblesville will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Noblesville is facing Hamilton Southeastern at the right time seeing as Hamilton Southeastern is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Franklin Central, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. Perry Meridian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
