Basketball Recap: East Burke Comes Up Short

East Burke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. The contest between the Cavaliers and the South Caldwell Spartans didn't end well, with the Cavaliers falling 55-36. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why East Burke lost, don't look at Luke Demiter. Despite the final result, he posted six points in addition to six boards and three steals. Owen Hartmann was another key player, putting up ten points.

East Burke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Caldwell, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, East Burke will challenge Freedom at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Caldwell, they will take on SouthLake Christian Academy in a tournament on Saturday.
