Football Recap: Irvington Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Irvington, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 26-13 win over the Burlington City Blue Devils on Thursday. The Blue Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Chelsey Perry threw for 85 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of her passes. Rochelle Phillips was her top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Irvington pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Irvington will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Orange at 5:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Burlington City, they will head out on the road to challenge Mastery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warrior will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
