Soccer Game Preview: Frankfort vs. Hampshire

The Frankfort Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Hampshire Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frankfort is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

Frankfort managed to keep up with Fort Hill until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Falcons lost 5-2 to the Sentinels.

Jake Getz and Noah Weaver scored both of Frankfort's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Hampshire's matchup on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They put the hurt on Keyser with a sharp 3-0 win. Hampshire might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Frankfort has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-3-3 record this season. As for Hampshire, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Everything went Frankfort's way against Hampshire in their previous matchup back in September, as Frankfort made off with a 4-1 win. In that matchup, the Falcons amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
