Basketball Recap: Ponte Vedra Piles Up the Points Against Wolfson

Ponte Vedra won the last time they faced Wolfson and things went their way on Monday too. The Sharks blew past the Wolfpack, posting a 76-45 victory.

Ponte Vedra's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddox Palmer led the charge by going 8-for-12 to rack up 19 points and six boards. Palmer's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Speace, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Ponte Vedra now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wolfson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Ponte Vedra won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bishop Kenny at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sharks will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Wolfson, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against West Nassau at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
