Recap: Monessen Greyhounds vs. Jefferson-Morgan Rockets
Make it eight blowout wins for the Monessen Greyhounds this season. They claimed a resounding 57-15 win over Jefferson-Morgan on the road. The win was familiar territory for Monessen who now have seven in a row.
Hailey Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Campbell, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Monessen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing West Greene the next time they take the court. Monessen will head out to face the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
