Baseball Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

Benton was the 10-0 winner over Kearney when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Kearney, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benton will square off against Savannah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearney, they will challenge Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
