Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln can now relate to. They took a hard 76-58 fall against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles on Wednesday. The Trojans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Lincoln's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landon Dougherty, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds, and Eric Turral, who earned 11 points. Another player making a difference was Malakhi Lowe, who scored nine points and six boards.

Fleming Island was led to victory by Carson Crawford and Nate Lowery. Crawford dropped a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Lowery went 6-for-10 to rack up 19 points. The dominant performance gave Lowery a new career-high in points. Isaiah Robinson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Fleming Island, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fleming Island, they have already played their next match, a 50-47 defeat against Leon on the 17th.
