Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Christian Stars vs. Champlin Park Rebels

The Southwest Christian Stars will face off against the Champlin Park Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southwest Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Southwest Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 94-58 victory over Dassel-Cokato. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Stars have posted since February 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Champlin Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They skirted past the Pirates 65-63. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Pirates are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Champlin Park has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Southwest Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
